Mimi the Cat: Meow Together is a delightful puzzle game in which a pair of cute kittens must navigate their way to their beds by pushing boxes and jumping. It is similar to Wise Box Games’ earlier title Mimi the Cat: New Friends but can also be enjoyed with two players.

Gameplay
Mimi the Cat: Meow Together is a Sokoban-style puzzle game consisting of 35 levels. It can be enjoyed either single-player or co-op. The aim of the game is to navigate the two cats into their cosy beds by pushing blocks and jumping over gaps. There are a series of mechanics and obstacles that are introduced gradually to keep things interesting such as trains that need to be climbed on. I both modes the two cats must work together to solve the puzzles and safely reach their destinations. The puzzles get quite challenging in the later levels and are very satisfying to solve.
The game has partial controller support which does not work very well. In co-op mode, it is not possible for both players to use a controller, one must use the keyboard and the controller does not work effectively in the menus either.
A fun addition, not available in the earlier titles, is that of accessories that can be collected by players to adorn the cats. This adds an extra layer of fun to the game and the cats look very cute in their flat caps and bow collars!
Narrative and Styling
Mimi and Freidns: Meow Together has no real narrative to speak of beyond getting the cats to their destination. The entire game is set in a living room and has a simple 3D art style using vibrant pastel colours. The music is upbeat, and jovial and fits the cute style and premise of the game very well. There are plenty of adorable meows and purrs from the cats which add to the overall experience.
Summary
Mimi and Friends: Meow Together is a fun little game and very enjoyable as a co-op experience. It does have some small imperfections but also offers satisfying conundrums, a pleasant aesthetic, cute cats and delightful sound design. It is priced very reasonably for what it offers and I’d happily recommend it to fans of Sokoban-style puzzles.
