Introduction

Romance Detective Is a heartwarming linear visual novel developed by a small group of artists led by NomnomNami, it has a simple to follow story and easy on the eyes art-style. The story is a bit comedic because of how dramatic the characters are, but that is not a bad thing since it makes them very entertaining.

Story

You play as The Romance Detective, investigating a case of a stolen vase. Once you barge into a museum where the vase was stolen you team up with a cop and declare her the romance cop by putting a rose in her shirt pocket. Together you investigate the evidence to find the culprit, who stole the vase.
While investigating you meet Cupid and a whole cast of other wonderful and fun characters and perhaps even fall in love. The story is straightforward to follow and fun, so that everyone can enjoy it.

Final Judgement

Personally, I’m not a fan of visual novels, but stumbling upon this hidden indie gem has changed my mind. It’s a very fun short visual novel with a cute story, very entertaining writing and a wonderful original soundtrack by KonaTizer.

This is my favorite visual novel of all time cause of how wholesome it is, the story is great, the characters are great, the soundtrack is awesome and jazzy perfectly fitting the theme of romance and detective work. It is simply the best visual novel to play on Valentine’s Day.
